Sorry about that. Assemblers are the low level language for each computer. The higher level languages use sentences. Assemblers use words and numbers. The brain of the computer, central processing center, or CPU for short takes groups of ones and zeros to decide what to do with other groups of ones and zeros. People are more comfortable with words and numbers, so we have editors to work with the words and numbers for the people. We feed the words and numbers into an assembler which grinds those words and numbers into ones and zeros for the CPU. Pretty much one name or number for each group of ones and zeros. I hope that helps.

urbane1 as it is now called has rather elaborate error checking. As I was trying out one of the earlier versions I kept making these rather serious errors that were hard to find, so I wrote the code to find them. http://www.nuts4cocos.org/urbane/ The latest version is BBa

I've now updated to ECedit-1.1.0 because of another serious flaw. The new version cuts down the number of files needed to run it from 6 to 2, and the number of icons from 3 to 1. I also cleaned up the logic a little bit.

I've already updated to ECedit-1.0.1 because there was a serious flaw in the editor and some important things I left out: the Help mode, New file available in sync, and allow return to sync on load if sync is present. I'll upload the source later, especially if anyone is interested.

While working on my Editor I noticed a couple of minor flaws that only show up on the Palm OS Garnet Simulator which I promptly fixed. I uploaded the new version archer-022.zip

Hey, if I were currently immersed in writing a book explaining set theory, it would have sounded like that to me too, I’m sure.
